About Lilly

Lilly Cornell was born on the east coast and was enrolled in dance classes at an early age, but it wasn’t until she relocated to Missouri at the age of seven that she began studying dance seriously. She began participating in competitive dance at age ten and found a deep love for the art. Throughout her middle and high school years, she spent her summers away from home training in both New York City and Los Angeles, having the opportunity to study and work alongside many well-known teachers, choreographers, and artists. Some of her favorite memories include spending her days at Broadway Dance Center in New York City as a part of their Junior Training Program, as well as working with Tracie Stanfield and her company Synthesis Dance and performing in her concerts Subtle Alchemy and Intersections at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating high school, Lilly moved to Los Angeles to further her education and training in dance and graduated from AMDA College of the Performing Arts with a BFA in Dance Theatre.

Lilly’s favorite aspect of dancing is performing for her audiences and telling stories through movement. After graduating from AMDA, some of her professional career goals include dancing for Disney and performing on Broadway. She eventually wants to choreograph and teach, sharing her passion with the next generation of young artists. She is currently on tour with Fluid Dance competitions and conventions, working as a faculty assistant and serving as their official Dance Liaison. She stands out because of her strong work ethic, commitment to her craft, and cheerful attitude. She is a skilled and experienced performer and is looking forward to entering the industry after graduation. When she is not dancing, she enjoys spending her free time with her friends and loved ones, traveling to new places, and partaking in her most favorite hobby, shopping of course!
